Proiectul propune o cercetare complexă în domeniul istoriei sociale, economice și administrative privind ținutul istoric al Sălajului în cursul evului mediu și al epocii premoderne. Regiunea Sălajului, o zonă de tranziție și de contact între Transilvania propriu-zisă și Partium îndeosebi din perspectiva structurilor sociale, instituționale și juridice, un spațiu multietnic și multiconfesional, cu o moștenire culturală de mare valoare, reprezintă un teritoriu de maximă importanță pentru cercetarea istorică, promițător în privința rezultatelor. Cercetarea se va baza, la modul concret, pe investigarea arhivei familiale Wesselényi, având printre obiectivele principale editarea documentelor anterioare anului 1690 din acest fond. În acest fel, se constituie baza documentară pentru studierea istoriei unei regiuni puțin cunoscute, dar în același timp se oferă un reper comparativ substanțial și un material inedit cercetării istorice românești. Prin proiectul de față membrii colectivului de cercetare urmăresc să integreze studiul istoriei acestei regiuni în curentul principal al cercetării naționale de profil. Concomitent cu investigarea fondului familial, avem în vedere și studiul critic al literaturii de specialitate, pentru ca pe acest temei să elaborăm o serie de studii și articole referitoare la realitățile istorice din regiunea Sălajului în secolele XIV–XVII. În alcătuirea corpusului de documente urmărim normele stiințifice stabilite de cele mai însemnate ediții de izvoare istorice din România, anume Documenta Romaniae Historica. Seria C. Transilvania, respectiv Codex diplomaticus Transsylvaniae.
INSTITUTIONAL STRUCTURES AND ELITES IN SILVANIA REGION IN THE 14TH–17TH CENTURIES
General presentation
The present project proposes a complex research in the domain of social, economic and administrative history of the Medieval and Early Modern Salaj. This region, a transition and contact area between Transylvania and the Partium as regards mainly the social, institutional and juridic structures, a multiethnic and multiconfessional space with a highly valuable cultural heritage is a territory of utmost importance for historical research, and a very promising one from the point of view of the results. The research, at a practical level, will be based on the research of the archive of the Wesselényi family, and has as one of its main objectives the edition of all pre-1690 documents of this collection. In this way, the documentary basis for the research of a less known region will be created, and at the same time it would provide a benchmark and a large amount of so far unpublished material for the Romanian historical research. With the present project the members of the research team intend to integrate the historical research of this region into the main current of the similar national research. Along with the research of the family archive, a critical overview of the secondary literature on the topic is targeted in order to be able to build on this basis a series of studies and articles treating the realities of the 14th-17th century Sălaj. When compiling the collection of documents we shall follow the scientific standards settled by the most significant historical source editions in Romania, namely the Documenta Romaniae Historica. Series C. Transylvania and the Codex diplomaticus Transsylvaniae.
